Humanitarian Data Cube (HDC)

Prev Next

A data cube is a structured collection of data across time and space. The Humanitarian Data Cube is a cloud-native platform that simplifies access to vast amounts of EO and climate data.

It removes common barriers such as fragmented datasets, limited interoperability, and connectivity constraints, and enables WFP, governments and humanitarian partners to process and analyse data at scale.

HDC KEY COMPONENTS

CLOUD-BASED
Leveraging cloud native design, scalable cloud computing and latest geospatial technologies to process data at scale;

GLOBAL COVERAGE
Datasets covering the full globe, with data going back 40+ years;

ACTIONABLE INFORMATION
Providing WFP and partners tools to better manage, analyze, share and visualize geospatial data (web-based maps and dashboards);

OPEN AT THE CORE
Fully building on open-source-software and providing climate and Earth Observation related data and indicators to the humanitarian community.
