The Advanced Disaster Analysis & Mapping (ADAM) is a near-real time disaster analysis tool for the humanitarian community. It performs continuous research, collection, analysis, and mapping of disaster-related data on a global scale, to reduce the time between the occurrence of an event and the initiation of a field-level response. For instance, following an earthquake, tropical cyclone or flood hazard, the system creates a dashboard with key indicators, which is disseminated to subscribers.
The tool aims at becoming the first system to provide rapid disaster (and conflict) impact analysis for WFP and the wider humanitarian community and decision makers in the first critical 72-hours of an emergency using the best available geospatial dataset, methodologies and tools.
