Survey Designer is a web-application that allows users to quickly and easily build standardized assessment and monitoring surveys. Country Offices relying on XLSForm in ODK-based tools (such as MoDa or Kobo) for quantitative data collection can leverage the Survey Designer for their data collection needs.
All indicators from the Corporate Results Framework are available for immediate inclusion in questionnaires from the Survey Designer, as well as a variety of other questions and indicators to generate standardized surveys. The whole content of the Survey Designer is known as Survey Codebook, and processes related to the update of the information available in Survey Designer and more information are available in the dedicated sub-section.
The Survey Designer includes translations of the indicator questions and answers in French, Spanish and Arabic. If users would like another language to be added, they can contribute to the translations by contacting global.surveydesigner@wfp.org.
Survey Designer allows users to export surveys as an XLSForm, or directly publish the surveys in MoDa or Kobo. Additionally, each indicator in the Survey Designer has an analytical script in Python, R, SPSS or STATA to enable standardized calculation, reporting and visualization of data.
