# T&P: Conflict-Affected Contexts (2026)

Implementing targeting and prioritization processes in fragile and conflict-affected contexts introduces significant risks, alongside difficult trade-offs, which can undermine programme effectiveness and fuel friction. Embedding conflict-sensitive approaches throughout the T&P process is therefore essential to prevent the creation or exacerbation of conflicts, safeguard humanitarian principles and maintain trust among affected communities.
