# Reduced Coping Strategies Index

The Reduced Coping Strategies Index (rCSI) is a consumption-based coping indicator. The index measures the frequency and severity of behavioural strategies that people apply when they cannot access enough food or when they foresee a decrease in food in the last seven days. The rCSI includes five standard strategies and allows for comparison across space, time, and population groups.

**XLS Form**

Access the [XLS form](https://docs.wfp.org/api/documents/WFP-0000109756/download/) designed in [WFP Survey Designer](https://surveydesigner.vam.wfp.org/). The form includes the standard naming codes and can be converted to ODK for consistent data collection across mobile and web platforms.

**Training Presentation**
