# Data Sharing and Protection

Protecting the personal data and privacy of respondents is a fundamental responsibility in all WFP assessments and data collection activities. Adhering to data protection principles ensures the safety, dignity, and rights of individuals, and builds trust with communities and partners.

**Key Principles**

- Collect only the minimum personal data necessary for assessment objectives
- Obtain informed consent from all respondents
- Store and process data securely, with access limited to authorized personnel
- Anonymize or pseudonymize data wherever possible to protect identities
- Share data responsibly, in line with WFP policies and legal requirements
